कोल्हापुरी साज हा दागिना लाखेवर सोन्याचा पत्रा मढवलेला असतो. कोल्हापुरी साजमध्ये 'जाव मणी' आणि 'पानड्या' (वेगवेगळ्या आकाराची पाने) सोन्याच्या तारेने गुंफलेली असतात.या साजात २१ पाने असून त्यांपैकी १० पाने हे भगवान विष्णूचे अवतार, ८ पानेचे एक अष्टमंडल, १ पान माणकाचा आणि एक पाचूचा , तो लाल किंवा गुलाबी रंगाचे असते.
