जोंधळेमणी गुंड - Jondhalemani Gund

जोंधळी मणी हे ज्वारीच्या बियाप्रमाणे दिसतात. जोंधळय़ाच्या दाण्यासारखे सोन्याचे छोटे छोटे आकाराचे मणी तयार करून त्यांची बनवलेली माळ ‘जोंधळी पोत’ या नावाने ओळखली जाते.

जोंधळी पोत हा महाराष्ट्रातील पारंपरिक दागिना आहे. ही पोत खूप नाजूक आणि सुरेख दिसते. जोंधळी मणी एका दोरामध्ये ओवले जातात अशाप्रकारे तीन किंवा त्यापेक्षा अधिक ओवलेल्या माण्यचे पदर एकत्र करून गळयामध्ये परिधान करणारा हा अलंकार.

The Jondhalemani beads resemble the shape of sorghum seeds. Tiny gold beads crafted to mimic the appearance of jowar grains are intricately woven together to create a necklace known as the Jondhalemani Poth.

This delicate and elegant necklace is a traditional piece of jewelry from Maharashtra. The beads are threaded onto a single string. 'Jondhalmani Poth' are made from three layers to more than 10 layers combined to form a stunning necklace worn around the neck.
